Hi again, folks. Ren here with a life update for those who read this crap.

With the holiday season approaching (read "infecting") at high speeds work has been keeping me pretty busy. But fret not, my friends, I am still drawing in the free time I do have (between XenoVerse 2 and Pokemon moon of course). That being said, those waiting on pictures will be getting them over the next few weeks.

Moving on to something a little more fun: Renou and I have been talking (yes, I talk to my characters.) and we decided what better way to bring in the new year but with some challenges. I need to become a better artist with this new year. So I am proposing an open challenge starting January 1st. Anyone who wishes may pit their OCs/FCs against Renou in battle. This will work like the popular art tourneys that you can find on dA. Renou and I will take on ten artist's/writers over a period of ten weeks. Each fighter will have one week to produce the best work they can, depicting their character in a battle with Renou. On the last day of each week the viewers will vote on a winner. If Renou loses, the winner will be awarded with a free full-ink depiction of their character victorious. If you're interested let me know; this will be a first-come-first-serve kind of thing.

Renou's Kumite Challenge:
Here is a little clarification of how this challenge works. My goal is to spark creativity, both in myself, and in anyone participating. This is why each challenge will take one week.
Each participant will be assigned a number (1-10). At the beginning each week I will contact the artist/writer. We will discuss which character(s) will be facing off against Renou that week. We will then spend the week creating our entries. At the end of the week there will be an open poll to assign a winner. I am never allowed to vote, and neither will that weeks challenger. Once again I am strongly promoting creativity; come up with a short story-line. Knowing why they are fighting/sparring against Renou is just as important as the fight it's self.

Prizes:
Voting will close at the end of each week. If the challenger wins the will receive a full ink drawing of their character(s) victorious.

Hello, everyone. Long time no see-
I'm not sure where to start; life has kept me pretty damn busy lately and its not really slowing down. This is why you haven't heard from me save for a few drawings here or there. That being said, I'm about to do a major over-haul of my deviantART situation. I have decided to remove all my Dragonball artwork from this page (now hear me out here) in light of opening up my gallery to more original works. That being said, Dragonball Smoldering Remains (and in conjunction Apex) will be getting it's own page (link will be provided soon). So no worries, Renou is still around! I have simply stumbled across a small well of inspiration that leans in a far more original, and thus freeing, project. 

The project is in it's infancy stages, and while the ideas are there, the details must be fleshed out. By making the pages separate, I can distinguish my original works from my Dragonball fan-works. 

I will stay in touch with any who want to stay in touch with me. Like I said previously once it is ready I'll be posting links, so keep lookin'!

Good morning Apex team! Ren here with some news on our project-

First, I'm sorry this isn't a journal on the actual Dba page, my phone for some reason isnt letting me post journals from the actual page.
Second, as promised, I talked to Jay last night. Everyone should send him some congratulations, our friend has started work as a commissioned cosplay designer and has been blessed with his second daughter. Ontop of his full-time job at the hotel he has had very little free time. We did manage to set up the time for our next meeting: it's going to be this Tuesday (August 5th) at 7pm Eastern Standard time. Everyone who can attend is asked to do so- since Jay has less and less free time now we are going to have alot to cover. This includes Chris and Anozira's concern about motivating our team.
Other than that, I'm always checking up on dA for updates, so if anyone has any personal questions out concerns regarding the project send me a note; it's what I'm here for!
